It was about 7AM on a Saturday morning, and I was just turning over to position myself for another 3 or 4 hours of sleep. All of a sudden, I feel a gentle tap on my bare shoulder blade. I slowly open my eyes to find the biggest doe eyes staring at me. The little four-year-old princess standing beside the bed whispered, ?I?m hungry.? I glanced at my wife, who was lying as motionless as possible, and I slid out of the cozy bed to prepare bacon and eggs. That?s when I realized the change. I?m not step-dad anymore. I?m a real father.

Recognize the role of beliefs.
We are incredibly heedless in the formation of our beliefs, but find ourselves filled with an illicit passion for them when anyone proposes to rob us of their companionship. James Harvey Robinson 1863-1936
Most family squabbles come from opposing beliefs about something that result in an exchange of insulting looks if not outright insults. It’s easier to be tolerant of your relatives when you understand that they formed their beliefs as carelessly as you did and defend them as much as you defend yours.

A disturbing trend in our modern society is the way we, as parents, turn our children?s? days into regimented routines of organized, adult-led extracurricular activities like volleyball practice, gymnastics class, tee-ball games, and dance recitals along with other time consuming functions and commitments. We do all of this at the expense of free play, discovery and exploration, relaxing downtime, and far too-often, family meals. Long gone, it would seem, are the days of homework followed by ample free time (to be silly kids!), all before a sit down family dinner. It doesn’t really have to be that way.

The women in my family have a thanksgiving tradition that they have followed for more years than I can remember. The planning and strategy goes into effect days before thanksgiving itself. They gather at my sister?s house, and they begin to go through the sale ads for the busiest shopping day out of the year, which is the day after thanksgiving. I’m sure many people do the same, but they are among an elite and dedicated fanatic organization called the early birders. These renegade shoppers are perhaps the best in the world and the level of competition ranks right up there with the Olympics. In fact, there are rumors circulating through this underground coalition that this may soon become an experimental Olympic event at the games of 2008.

In the past, collectors have been fascinated with sculptures of pure white Ivory without knowing the damage it caused to our eco-system. Luckily governments of a number of nations have banned Ivory trade altogether.
Craftsmen from eastern India had been crafting beautiful items of SholaPith (lookaloikes of Ivory) since ages. It is only recently that Sholapith items have got international recognition for its beauty, eco-friendliness and superb craftsmanship. Shola pith is a milky-white sponge-wood that is carved into delicate and beautiful objects of art only in a few states of India. Shola is a plant, growing in marshy waterlogged areas of eastern Indian States commonly referred to as eastern marshy Gangetic plains. It is unbelievable that this plant grows nowhere else in the world. The biological name of Shola is Aeschynomene Indica and it is an herbaceous plant. The Sholapith is the cortex or core of this plant.

Selecting A Crib
The first thing you will realize when selecting a crib is that there are so many to choose from!
There are,
* Bassinets, which you can move from place to place for the first few months of babies life
* Cradles, that you can rock your baby to sleep in
* Co-sleeper cribs, that attach to a parents bed, which can make feeding easier.

Nursing homes offer themselves in many economic climates and settings. And, in most cases are staffed with individuals that are dedicated to the well being of seniors
and their families.
The transition can be pleasant though it may be hard to imagine, even if you are moving
threshold to threshold, (hospital to nursing home).
Anger can be the order of the day with some residents. While some confide they feel rejected and cast aside when their families and physicians decided the move is best or perhaps the best for all involved.

Even if you love being a stay at home mom, keeping your sanity takes effort. There are those days where the kids just seem to want to drive you completely and utterly nuts.
Up 3 hours earlier than usual in the morning. Nope, not going back to bed quietly.
Did the toddler really figure out the latch on the cereal cabinet? Floor’s crunchy.
You need WHAT for school?
This would be an example of a quiet morning in many families, of course. Things could be worse. You’re not sure how but you have vague memories of mornings that were far, far more difficult. And even vaguer memories of quiet, uninterrupted mornings.
